SCOPE OF SERVICES

Depression:

A disabling disease causing problems like reduction in quality of life and loss of general functioning. Depressed mood and loss of interest are key symptoms. Around 2/3rd of patients contemplate suicide and 10-15% commit suicide.

Anxiety:

The most prevalent mental disorder. palpitation, sweating, headache, diarrhea, breathlessness and awareness of being nervous are some common symptoms of anxiety.

Panic Disorder:

There are episodes of increased heart rate, shaking, shortening of breath, feeling of choking, chest pain, nausea, dizziness and fear of dying.

Phobia:

Excessive fear of a specific object, circumstance or situation. It can be social phobia or specific phobia.

Obsessive – Compulsive Disorder:

Recurrent or repetitive thoughts, rituals, preoccupations and compulsions which cause severe distress to the person and family.

Sleep Disorder:

Symptoms are difficulty in initiating or maintaining sleep or excessive sleep.

Schizophrenia:

A disorder characterized by a breakdown of thought processes and by poor emotional responsiveness. It most commonly manifests itself as auditory hallucinations, paranoid or bizarre delusions or disorganized speech and thinking and it is accompanied by significant social or occupational dysfunction.
